Gross Profit Per Recruiter
Total gross profit (spread across all placements) divided by headcount of recruiters — a core productivity benchmark for staffing agencies.
It's one of the few metrics that normalizes for agency size: a two-recruiter shop and a twenty-recruiter firm can be compared fairly on gross profit per recruiter even though their total revenue looks nothing alike.
Software costs eat directly into this number when priced per seat — every recruiter, sourcer, or coordinator added to a per-seat ATS lowers gross profit per head before they've placed anyone.
